Pennsylvania Air National Guard 193rd Regional Support Group Troop Training Quarters

Owner: U.S. Property and Fiscal Office for Pennsylvania
Location: Annville, Pa.

Gannett Fleming Architects, Inc. designed a new 42-room, 84-bed, dormitory-style facility, with ancillary common spaces, to support training site functions and replace existing quarters. The high-efficiency building features windows that provide ample natural light, a carpet manufactured by a carbon-neutral plant, zero volatile organic compound paint, and wood trim harvested from Forest Stewardship Council-certified forests. Green space equal to the building’s footprint acts as a security buffer. The dormitory achieved Gold LEED® certification, complies with the Energy Policy Act of 2005, and meets relevant Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection standards.
